VERONA'S EXHIBITION
The Renault Clio Williams stands out in Verona among the queens of the races: a limited version that turns 25 and has made an indelible mark on Rally history. Initially, 2500 units had to be produced. In the end, 12 thousand were produced in three series, ceding to the demands of fans. The first version of the Clio Williams, in fact, was produced by Renault in order to be used as an attack weapon in the 1993 French Rally Championship, and the road version takes full advantage of the experience and talent on the track. The engine head, for example, is born from the Renault RS4 and RS5 construction techniques mounted at the time on the Williams F1, to the victories of which this very special Clio was dedicated. The car could only be obtained in Williams Blue, and the other changes from the Clio 16v standard included beautiful golden aluminium rims, better shock absorbers and more luxurious interior upholstery with the Williams logo sewn on the backrest of the seats. Surprisingly, the ABS and airbags have been removed as if the Clio Williams wished to be “piloted” by more sporty drivers.
